‘In The Heights' is an award winning show played at Richard Rodgers Theater in New York. The musical hit is about the immigrant dreamers of Washington Heights in a tight knit and vibrant neighborhood of Manhattan. The show explores the heartbreaks, bonds, sorrow and joys of a Latino community fighting to redefine home. The show is based on the book written by Quiara Alegria Hudes. The lyrics and music is composed by Lin Manuel Miranda. The story is weaved on three days in the lives of characters in the Dominican-American neighborhood belonging to Washington Heights. Hiphop, salsa, soul music and meringue is features in the score. Usnavi, the leader character, a owner of bodega in the Washington Heights, dreams of reaching Dominican Republic after his parents' death. He loves Vanessa, who work at Daniela's salon. The Broadway production was choreographed and directed by Andy Blankenbuehler and Thomas Kail. The modern score, choreography, set and young cast is praised by all fans.
