Hairspray is an entertaining Broadway show held at Neil Simon Theatre located in West 52nd Street of New York. The show has won Tony Awards in 2002 for musical adaptation. The story is set in Baltimore, during the year 1962, when racial segregation and discriminatory policies were practiced. Hairspray uniquely approaches the serious matter with a thundering comedy, first loves, teenage naivete, popular dance music by raising the uses of socioeconomic and racial discrimination.
