August Osage County
by NYTP Staff

5 Tony Awards Winner August Osage County is played at Music Box Theater in New York. The most exciting Broadway play is fiercely funny as well as bitingly sad. The turbo charged tragicomedy is instantly thrown into high gear to jumpstart the theater season. The concept of story is based on a vanished father, pill popping mother and three sisters with shady little secrets. Unexpectedly the large Weston family reunites after the disappearance of the father. The major Broadway play uproariously and unflinchingly showcases the other side of a Midwestern American family. The Osage County has won raving critics and riveted audiences. The hugely entertaining and thrilling new play is made by Tracy Letts, a Pulitzer Prize finalist. The play is full of funny dialogues, acid characters and emotional scenes. The dazzling good ensemble is directed by Anna D. Shapiro of The Pain and Itch fame. The show is an entertaining work with intense, vicious and rich wit.
