Madison Square Park

The Park is named after James Madison, the father of the Constitution. The Madison Square Park has hosted grand celebrations to commemorate anniversaries and historic occasions. In 1870, Chief Landscape Architect Ignatz Pilat and William Grant re-landscaped the square with new designs highlighting the park with sculptures. Madison Square Park is in the heart of midtown area, with colorful playground, large grassy area and a spacious dog run for everyday visits. Visitors read their traditional paperbacks by sitting in the comfy benches of the lush lawn. Wifi provides an opportunity to visitors to bring laptops to check their email. The grounds of the park are peppered with artwork with temporary exhibits of new artists. The classic monuments tell about the 150 year history of the Madison Square Park. The landscaped grounds of Madison Square park offers varied activities for its visitors. The Park becomes a hottest destination on summer days, when hungry visitors line up for hamburgers and Shake Shack’s milkshakes. Children enjoy the Mad.Sq.Music and the kids’ concert series.
