Forest Park

Forest Park, as a unique mixture of manmade prizes and natural treasures, attracts a large number of visitors. Forest Park looks like an agrarian delight, with 165 acres of trees in a series of hills known as knob and kettle terrain. To cover and see more ground, visitors can hire the private stables also. In the west side, Forest Park is used as a playground for athletes, baseball, softball, bocce, handball, golf and tennis. The Forest Park also boasts with the reputation of a most challenging golf course of the city with 110 acre 67 golf course, modeled after Scottish links. The western portion of the park, having a capacity to accommodate 3500 people, is allotted for non sports related activities and is a favorite place for music fans. The George Seuffert and Sr. Bandsheel performs free concerts in the warm season. The regular Park goers explore the natural settings of the Forest Park by traveling to the eastern portion of the park binding bridle paths and hiking trails.
