Central Park
by NYTP Staff

Central Park is the famed green oasis of Manhattan. It is the fifth largest park in the city. Over 750 various native species of plants and animals are found in the 5 boroughs, including sharp skinned hawk, white tailed deer and endangered peregrine falcon. Central Park offers guided bird walks to the visitors. People use the Park for walk, jog, bike, horseback ride, in-line skate, play basketball, soccer, tennis, softball, and enjoy organizing festivals and events.

Being a manmade wonder and first public park of America, Central Park is the most popular park in the world. More than 25 million guests visit the park every year. The grounds of Central Park, in the midst of bustling Manhattan, are considered as a safe and calm place for migratory birds, athletes, musicians, strollers and daydreamers. An entire day can be spent peacefully by roaming in the grounds of Central Park, looking upon around 50 fountains, sculptures, monuments or appreciating the Park’s 36 bridges and arches.
