Gramercy & Flatiron
by NYTP Staff

An ensemble of three great neighborhoods is what makes up the Gramercy Flatiron situated in Manhattan. The “Flatiron” lies to the west of the Madison Square Park and the south eastern part of the area surrounding Gramercy Park is named as “Gramercy”. This neighborhood also consists of a sub-neighborhood called the “Curry hills”, which takes its name from the numerous Indian stores and restaurants that can be found here. The loosely defined Flatiron district is a great place to visit some of the most picturesque scenes that you can find in New York. It is the best way to let loose and enjoy some great time along with some of the best eating joints you could find here.

The three great skyscrapers – the Flatiron Building, Metropolitan Life Insurance Building and International Toy Center Building – are one of the finest constructions you can find in New York. The Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace and the Museum of sex are one of the most versatile museums you can find anywhere. This neighborhood is also home to one of the best parks namely the Union Square, Madison Square Park and the Gramercy Park – the last of which is strictly a private park open for its immediate residents only. On the whole, though it has the looks of being conservative, Gramercy Flatiron is actually the wildest place you could be in!
