Don't Do itUser Review Rating

We had lunch in the cafe adjoincent to the hotel. Wate staff were rude and sarcastic. It was a damper on the nyc holiday expereience, more so than the rainy weather. Food was tolerable. Overall cleanliness was below par. nyc has so much to offer, this was not one of them.Book Now!

# Location and Price -- we'll stay there again

We just got back from a weeklong vacation in NY. This hotel is literally steps from Times Square and right next door to the W Hotel. It's only a couple of blocks from the subway. There is a little convenience store next to it as well that offers a huge salad and food bar, as well as deli sandwiches made to order. We were skeptical about the ... Book Now!

The Edison hotel was not the cleanliness hotel I have ever stayed at but it was good. I was in one of the corner room and i was pretty big for a cheap room. I went down with my dance group so we did not expect much but when I saw how close we were to time square and i thought I could live. We had a commute to the dance place we danced at (Ripley ... Great place to stay, close to everything including subways to everywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a cot for five people. Rooms and bathroom were small but very functional. Room and bath were clean. If you want to be in the middle of everything at a reasonable price I highly recommend the Edison Hotel.Book Now!

What a Dump

The location of the hotel was great for seeing New York, but the hotel itself was dirty and in serious need of updating. The lobby looks great in an art deco 1930's kind of way but the 1930's theme carried on through to our room as I think this was possibly the last time it had seen a lick of paint. We found a cockroach in our room and we ...Book Now!

Will NEVER stay there again!!

The room was extremely small and no matter what the setting on the air conditioner was, it was hot and humid. The bathroom was small, no vent, scalded when someone else in the hotel flushed the toilet or turned on the water (both of which you could hear). The room was dirty although the staff was nice. Everything needs to be updated, had to pay for ... Book Now!

Nice and Clean

I stayed at the Edison over New Years and I have no big complaints other than the bathroom being small and my key not working. Other than that it was clean, the people are friendly and it is literally in the middle of everything. They are very big on security and had someone checking your key at the elevators. I was very comfortable there. Book Now!

A friend recommended the Edison Hotel to me at least 10 years ago (maybe more) but I didn't stay there until about 5 years ago when I had to be in Manhattan for several days for a business occasion. On their advice, I booked at the Edison. It was a great choice. The lobby and ground floors are beautiful art deco. The hotel rooms are OK. The ...Book Now!

Good Location

Ca from LaGurida (sp?) was $40.00 which included tolls and tip. Lobby is nice and te check in was fast and easy. The lines for the elevators was 10 minutes and to take the stairs the door man had to use a special tool to open the door from the lobby side. When you see other reviews about small rooms belive it. My room is only 10x15 and not ...Book Now!
