The staff was extremely gracious and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location. It is a very intimate feeling hotel, which we prefer over the big chain units. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable, except that the view was of other rooftops and A/C units. Our bathroom has cracked marble tiles on the floor, and was on the small side, but very clean. The one problem we had was with the bottled water in the room--$7!-was IMPOSSIBLE to open--we could not get the top off. Apparently the vacuum pressure inside the bottle is so strong that the top will not simply screw off.Book Now!

The Benjamin was a great place to stay! It's location is within walking distance to St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Times Square, Central Park, and Radio City Music Hall. The customer service was excellent as well, and the rooms were very cozy and clean! Book Now!

If you are looking to stay at a boutiquer hotel in the heart of NYC, look no further. This hotel provides top quality services and amenities while being less expensive than hotels with lower star ratings. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal, while feeling like you got away with robbery. This hotel is across the street from the storied Waldorff Astoria, with all of the trimmings and none of the price. I am from NY originally asnd have made The Benjamin my business travel stay of choice. Book Now!

A good middle-of-the-road value for NYC. Won't break the bank, but not a bargain, either. Book Now!

Horrible Consierge

User Review RatingUser Review Rating

We went to a wedding ceremony in Flushing, NY by taxi. After being unable to contact the driver of our taxi for the return trip, we were stranded. We called the hotel consierge thinking they would help us out, and there response was, "Sorry- there's nothing we can do." We had also asked for restaurant recommendations within walking distance because we were hosting a small dinner party, and they recommended restaurants that were over a mile away. Room service was either 15 minutes early or half an hour late. The carpet was soaking wet from a leaky air conditioner in a two foot radius and we were over-billed for room service. Overall, very disappointing. Book Now!

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Staff was helpful, courteous and prompt. Hotel is centrally located for anything you have in mind for a NYC adventure. Subway and Bus across the street. Safe neighborhood anytime of the day. Can't wait to come back! We were treated like royalty from the minute we walked in the door. Loved the bar and the bar staff - very relaxed!Book Now!

Excellent Stay

Outstanding hotel and location. Pricey, yet we decided this would be our stay for our 25th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed with the room or the amenities. Quiet cozy and posh. The aromotherapy pillows are a hoot to explore. Only minus - we ordered a cheese assortment via room service and the cheeses were all hard and smelly, maybe some folks like old world chesses. We did not. There is a great breakfast restaraunt literally two doors down, crowded but they move 'em in and out. Great pubs and restaraunts three blocks down on 2nd, NBC studio's is 5 blocks the other direction. Staff and conceigerce A+. We had a great anniversary in NYC, thanks in part to this hotel.Book Now!
