I have a just returned from a 6 night stay in the Belvedere. After much research on the net, I booked this hotel and have nothing but praise for it. We stayed in a king deluxe room on the 16th floor. Room 1614, it was very spacious and the bed was huge! The room was cleaned and we got fresh towels daily. Breakfast was delicious. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to Time Square. I cannot fault this hotel at all and I will definitely stay there again.Book Now!

Great for NYC

The room was actually bigger than expected for New York. The room was clean but could use a little extra cleaning touch built into their routine schedule i.e. vacuuming the base board areas. The comforters used for the bedding were very nice the blankets however had some evidence of prior wear. Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY! The difference in the room rate made up for any shortcomings. Book Now!

My Girlfriend and I along with another couple Choose this Hotel because of the location and were not dissapointed! The Belvedere is within a 5 min walk to times square as well as a short walk to Rockefeller Center, Central park, David lettermen show (ed sullivan theater) and the Empire state building. We always felt safe in and around the city (Lots of Police everywhere) The Staff at the hotel seemed nice enough but the room we had was an older room on the 8th floor and not re-furbished! The room was clean but definitely needed to be updated! The bed's (two doubles) were ok, good enough to sleep on. The safe in the closet had no handle so it was a pain in the [----] trying to open! The tub and the sink liked to back up when in use so its more like a shower and a bath at the same time? We had no problems with elevators!! So nothing to serious! But we didn't spend much time in the room! There is so much to see and do in the city that you will only need the room to shower and sleep! I read other reviews and tried the oylimpic restaruant around the corner for breakfast. Its not bad! I guess for the price we payed for the room it was a good deal..? I suggest doing your homework and compare rates at other hotels in the area first!Book Now!

Minor Issues

This is an older building, and the rooms and even hallways, elevators and lobby are small. However, the room was quite comfortable, and the location was perfect for someone interested in the Theater District. I was worried when I checked in, since my room was right next to the elevator shaft, but I never heard anything. My only real complaint was service related. One morning I was awakened early to the sound of the radio alarm from the next room. After 20 minutes, when it was clear that no one was in the room, I called down to the front desk, and they said they'd send someone right up. A half hour later when it hadn't been attended to, I called again, and this time the woman I spoke with did send someone right away. Book Now!

Bargain for the location

Recent remodeling was reflected in our double-double room, which had new floor tile and carpeting. However, the bathroom had not been noticeably renovated. Tile work was old; tiles were cracked around the shower fixtures. Bathroom was small with virtually no storage. Well equipped mini-kitchen. Room was pretty small, but we had a very low rate for the location (2 blocks off Times Square). The staff was very attentive. Parking at nearby commercial garage, discounted for hotel guests, but still not cheap, except possibly by NYC standards. Public areas of the hotel are very attractive. Elevators are slow. Lots of interesting little restaurants nearby. Book Now!

Have stayed in New york twice before, but this hotel was far superior, The price was very reasonable, the location was spot on for theatre and locality to broadway and fitfth avenue. the room was clean, good views (infact the best views we'd had), the staff was fantastic, the dining was perfect and reasonably priced, in fact the hotel helped make the 3 night stay a wonderful expereince, even though we'd been twice before. two women travelling and given seperate queen beds, was wonderful. The room size was perfect. Thank you Belvedere for making our stay even better than we thought. the conserge was wonderful, gave us directions for Staten island, helped book a couple of shows, told us thihngs we didnt know. How good was that. the only negative was the shower taps didnt seem to fit too well against the wall! this was also the first hotel to have like a mini kitchenette - it had a microwave and fridge - we werent expecting that.Book Now!

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor felt this hotel met our demands. Not up to the Westin standard of course but no problems booking, and got breakfast each day which kept us well sustained . We had two double beds on the 12th floor and although I was expecting a lot of street noise there was none. The room was the average hotel size, very comfortable beds, plus fridge and coffee maker. We walked easily to the theatre, Times Square and the HoHo bus just around the corner. We had a lift just by our door so very convenient. The concierge was very helpful and booked our tours. Comparing prices of other hotels it was good value for money and would recommend it.Book Now!
