We checked in and received an upgrade and got a partial view of the NYC skyline from our room. The room was spacious and very clean: king bed suite with a sofa and a desk. Bus service was a block from the hotel, and was only $2.55 ride to 42nd St & 8th Ave bus terminal. The only downside I found was that there was no internet in the room, and the business center was only 2 cubbies with one computer at $0.49 / min. The second cubbie had a free network connection for a personal laptop. But overall, it was a wonderful stay, beautiful view, and convenient location to NYC.

I had a great time in NY staying at this hotel, i had a great room and the overall service was the best ever. great employees and a nice restaurant service. Transportation to manhattan you can choose among many options this hotel offers you.

Sheraton should be embarrassed to have their name on this hotel. The experience started at checkin with unentusiastic employee behind the counter. We called days ahead requesting a crib in the room. We were checking in late with a 2 year old and wanted to be sure that we could put her down quickly. We received our keycards, they did not open the room door. While me & my child waited in the hall for my husband to return with new cards, there were non-guests of the hotel "wandering around" as they said "checking the place out". Not good. My husband returned, with keys that didn't work...the bell hop then came up (all in all 15 minutes later) and let us in the room. We never got working key cards. NO CRIB. Another 1/2 hour for a crib, which was not sturdy. The closet door (bi fold) did not close and my daughter nearly caught her finger in the fold. The TV got 5 channels, all fuzzy. I felt like I was staying in a motel 8, but with less amenities. The only thing going for this place is the view of NYC across the river.

This was a very nice hotel, friendly staff with close proximity to NYC. The only downside is that the ferry that is literally at the hotel is not operational during the weekends. You have to take a hotel shuttle to a nearby ferry station instead.

If you rent a car, this hotel is a little difficult to find, but a great place to stay. The hotel provides a shuttle to the ferry which is a great way to get into Manhattan and not have to worry about parking etc. The restaurant in the hotel has really good food. The service was awesome. You will not find a better place to stay for this kind of price. We had 3 adults in our room, so the suite gave us the additional room we needed to keep from tripping over each other the entire time! Highly recommended.
