Clean Modest Hotel Away from Major Attractions

This is a modest, but clean hotel with newly renovated rooms. The efficiency suite we had a comfortable sleeping area and small nook with a fridge and microwave. The furniture was adequate, but minimalistic. For example, there was no table to eat food on or extra chairs to sit around. The location is perhaps the biggest disadvantage. It was several avenues away from the theater district and it lies halfway between two subway stops on #6 line. Overall, it is a comfortable hotel with a reasonable room-rate and a clean environment. I recommend it with moderate enthusiasm.

Exceeded my Expectations

Hotel is in a perfect location. Newly renovated, large rooms with modern decor and also very quiet. Loved the restaurant/bar within the hotel. Only minor complaints...there were no towels in the bath and we had to call twice before towels were brought to the room. Also...the hotel pemits pets. We had a barking dog across the hall from us and had to call the front desk twice before they sent security. Overall...a great place to stay in NYC.

Great Value for Money

Girls at front desk were less than attentive but the room was more than adequate (was a renovated one). Bathroom tiny and toilets very low, but everything else for the low price was phenomenal. Not crazy about neighborhood personally, but again, for the price it was really really great. Clean, doormen were terrific and great price!

Shelburne Murray Hill

This is an outstanding hotel with beautiful and modern rooms and great service. It is in an elegant neighborhood just a 10 minute walk to midtown. Great restaurant in lobby. One of the best values in NYC. Highly, highly, recommended.

The Shelburne Murray Hill - Excellent Value

The Shelburne Murray Hill definitely exceeded our expectations. For NYC, it was an excellent value. The location in the Murray Hill neighborhood made it convenient to get to any part of Manhattan eithr by walking, subway or taxi! We will be back.
