Beware of shared bathroomsUser Review Rating

Take note when getting your room. Not all rooms come with their own bathroom. Some are shared amongst the whole hall. Me and a buddy stayed there in there double and did not realized that it was 8 foot by 9 foot room with bunk beds. Book Now!

When I arrived at the Royal Park Hotel, the check-in staff informed me that there was water damage in my room so I was re-routed to their other hotel, Marrakech Hotel, a few blocks away for the same rate. I only saw the lobby of the Royal Park Hotel but the lobby of the Marrakech was much nicer. The room was adequate for the NYC price. Book Now!

The receptionist was very welcoming. The hotel was clean. My criticism stands: In the middle of the winter in New York, the room had no heat. Provided only one blanket. It was extremely cold. The tv was not working.Book Now!

As expected and heard from other reviews

I should have listened to the previous reviewers. I called ahead and asked - how many rooms per bathroom? he said there are two rooms per bathroom - not true. Two bathrooms per floor. They first placed us in room right across from bathroom and the TV was a small one something like 15". I asked to be further away. The next room had no TV. I could not figure out to work the heater which looked as old as the building - the knob came off when I tried to turn it. I noticed a lot of security hanging out near the front desk. You have to wonder why. Next time, we may stay at the Newton Hotel which is about a block away and better reviews. Book Now!

Don't Stay Here!!!!!

Unless you want to be in a room with a noisy radiator and no tv and no phone, then my best advice would be to keep looking for a better hotel. Yes, it was cheaper, but it was a scary place to be with a window that faced the brick wall of the adjacent building... Book Now!

friendly, but dirty

Before we arrived we knew that we had chosen a basic hotelroom with a shared bathroom. However, the bedsheets were extremely dirty. They had not been washed after the previous guests! Towels with had secondhand stains! The shared bathroom was dirty, too- even immediately after the cleaning! When we asked for shampoo, they told us were we could purchase it. Nevertheless, the staff was kind and the location and neighborhood was very convenient, our room was warm. If you like the location, bring your own towels, bedsheets, shampoo and a big sanitizer bottle and look for the bright sight of life. The city is interesting enough to stay there as little as possible!!!Book Now!

Needs Much Improvement

User Review Rating

This hotel looked like a tenament house, the man at the desk "buzzed" us in. The elevator was so old, you opened it by hand. The room had 2 double beds, 1 twin bed, the bathroom, a dresser and a fake fireplace. No heat, air, TV, or telephone. We didn't get into our room until 5:30 AM, because of flight delays, we were due in around 11:00PM. So we just wanted to go to sleep and were very thankful that there was a very large dead-bolt lock on the door. I would never go back to this hotel.Book Now!
