Great Hotel!

The Ravel is a VERY nice hotel to stay at. Not only is a new and "hip" hotel, the rooms are extremely nice and comfortable. The area is not that bad, but if you watch a lot of TV shows and etc, you would think the area was bad because of the look, but it's really not. I only walked to the subway a few times as I had the hotel bring me in the cadillac escalade! It was a great stay and I will stay there again when I return to NY.Book Now!

good value

Exceptionally nice finish levels for the price. The view is hard to beat. The "cafe" was rarely attended to and the food that was stocked was stale (another guest had the same complaint). You have to drive/take a cab if you are looking for food entertainment. All this aside, you'll be hardpressed to find this type of skyline view, for this price, anywhere else in the city.Book Now!

Hotel front desk staff were excellent. Room was very good. Cleaning staff did reasonably good job. The last night wee stayed the cleaning staff did not provide clean cups, glasses, or new soap, shampoo. Asked front desk and they provided very willingly. For a view of Manhatten, I suggest the 3rd floor or higher. The surrounding area is commercial and industrial. Noise was not a problem. Found local deli,s and corner restaurants that were good for breakfast for under $5. Walking distance to three different subway stops. About 15 minutes by New York walking speed. Would recommend the hotel.Book Now!

The room was just like n the pictures and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is very isolated but the view was beautiful and it gave you the chance to get away from the crazy traffic and noise of the city. The bathroom was also amazing and the shower has enough space for 2. LOL I recommend it to both for those visiting New York and New Yorkers Book Now!

Great room, great price, great view

This hotel was very, very nice. I loved the openness of the room (I didnt have one of the closed bathrooms and I liked it that way). The bed was very comfortable, I didn't want to get up in the morning. The balcony offered a great view, regardless of the smoke stacks. And the roof top deck offered an even better view. The service was great and the shuttle service to the metro was very convenient for only 5 bucks. Its not in a bad neighborhood, it's just kind of secluded so it appears that way. The city is right across the bridge and a cab ride was about $12. Everything worked out nicely. My stay was wonderful and I would definitely stay again.Book Now!

We were looking for a hotel that would not stress our budget, but was clean and comfortable. The hotel fit the bill. It was clean, had a small but comfortable gym, and easy parking.(There was no extra charge for the parking, unusual in the city.)Book Now!

Decent Hotel

The hotel was very pleasing to the eye and the people at the desk were very helpful. There were some maintenance issues such as leaky ceilings and scuffs on the walls but other than that the hotel was clean. Once we found the hotel it wasn't too far from the subway. The neighborhood leaves something to be desired but isn't dangerous. It didn't seem like too many other guests were at the hotel, however the experience was a plus overall, cheaper rates would probably be more appealing.Book Now!
