This is a great little hotel in a good area, one block from the 4/5/6 train. The room was a little small so there was no area to sit comfortably in the room. A restaurant is attached so there was a free continental breakfast in the morning and a convenient and tasty option for dinner at night. Free wireless access. Friendly and clean. Book Now!

Great all around, but small room

The Park South Hotel is pretty good all around. It's in a pretty good location with a lot of restaurants, food carts and shops nearby. K-town is within walking distance. The 28th St subway stop is steps away, but unfortunately it's limited to the green-6 line. I was surprised by the generous amenities for the price. The room was clean, stylish and modern, and the bathroom was immaculate. The flatscreen TV was a nice touch. One of the light bulbs was burned out, but they got it fixed very quickly. The walls were a bit thin, but not disturbingly so. My biggest complaint is that the room was pretty tiny. There was barely any room to open up two small suitcases, and hardly any storage space. Other than that, I was more than satisfied. Book Now!

We did not find the hotel satisfactory to our surprise. The room was extremely small when in comparison to other hotels we have stayed at for much less in the same area. Book Now!

Hard to find two double/queen beds in NY at reasonable price, but this was it. Unfortunately haven't been able to book again at reasonable price so moved to Doubletree this time.Book Now!

A very "New York" hotel.

On one hand, the staff was annoying. The front desk person was condescending enough to be confused with a Frenchman, and the maid pounded on our door at 9:00 am with such force that I thought there was an emergency... but no... she wanted to tell us to put out our "do not disturb" sign. Annoying. It was also mildly annoying that our rather pricey room had a wet spot on the floor. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable, the hotel has a great Union Square-area location, and there is a parking lot directly across the street. Also, the bathroom was really clean. In other words, it was very "New York." Adequate accommodations, annoying people. Over-priced. I liked it quite a bit.Book Now!

Standard Room is very very small, staff showed little care in helping us out

User Review Rating

The room listed as "Standard" was barely larger than our queen bed, something that was not made clear at the time of booking. The hotel promised we could upgrade at our own expense, then informed us that was no longer possible. I tried many times to speak to a manager with no luck. The lights went on and off as they pleased, leaving us in the dark often. We called to get this repaired a number of times in our 5 day stay, and this was never fixed. The bathroom was also small, but at least clean. The location is convenient with 2 subway stops nearby, but not a ton to do in the immediate area. Had the staff been more helpful in trying to get us another room or simply fixing the problems with the one we had, my review would be more positive. Unfortunately I would advise against this hotel unless you don't mind staying in a small, dark closet.Book Now!
