New York City

I chose this hotel based on the positive reviews and the price. My expectations were actually exceeded. The room was very spacious, perhaps because we were in a unit at the end of a hallway. I'm guessing they aren't all as roomy as this one was, based on some reviews I read. We had rented one of the rooms with a private bathroom. The bathroom was gorgeous. We were only staying in the city for one night, but wished we could have stayed longer because the room was so lovely. And we appreciated that it was very close to the subway because it was so cold out! I plan on staying here when we need to spend a night in Manhattan in the future. I"m just keeping my fingers crossed that they don't raise their rates as more people find out what a great bargain this place is.

This hotel was perfect for my purposes. It was a great location being so close to central park and the subway being right out the door practically. Very inexpensive for the quality of service and accomodations that we received. I would definitely go here again.

Halfway between economy and boutique hotel, but service was very personal. Located close to most necessities (restaurants, convenience stores, etc.), and only about two blocks to subway.

Great hotel the room was a bit small however the shared bathroom was suprisingly clean and the location is great! you can go down town by 2 stops with the express sub 3 and the hertz parking tends to be cheaper than other places in newyork!

When we arrived at the Newton we were VERY pleasantly surprised. For the extremely low price we paid we got a very nice, newly remodeled hotel in a pretty good location. We reserved a room with a shared bathroom, but I don't think anyone else ever used the bathroom. Both the room and the bathroom (heated floors!) were in excellent condition. I would definatly stay in the Newton again and I will suggest it to any friends travelling to NYC on a budget.

I could not rave enough about this hotel. We arrived near Midnight and had a fantastic welcome to this very neat, clean hotel that has been redecorated recently. Our room was immaculate and continued to be cleaned to the highest standard during our 4 night stay. It provides excellent value for New York...if you are travelling on a budget- you dont need to look any further. The Newton meets the highest of expectations. A subway station a few steps to the left and a bus outside the front door that would get you straight to Times Square. We would definately stay here again.
