Location is KeyUser Review RatingUser Review RatingUser Review Rating

As others have said the location of this hotel is key, it's so central, close to Times Square, two blocks to the Port Authority bus station and an easy walk to the Shops. The rooms are small, there was three of us so we booked a superior room, but was still small. Also we were on the 10th floor and the first night there was a lot of traffic noise and general hotel noise, but you are in the city that doesn't sleep so to be expected. We stayed here years ago also and not a lot has changed. There is a major refurbishment planned for this hotel so expect that there will be some changes in the future.

The hotel is next to the theatres and we stopped outside all my sons and got to see Katie Holmes and John Lithgow so it was good for star spotting. The cops that control the crowds here are worth hanging around for just for pure entertainment value.Book Now!

I Must Have High Standards

What a disappointment. We couldn't open our suitcases on the floor as there wasn't enough space, the shower and bathroom were tiny and the shower ran boiling hot to freezing cold at will, the escalator was broken (we went back for one final night at the end of 2 weeks and it was still out of order), drinks machine broken, one of the lift's broken, etc. I get the point about the location but for the money I expect much more.

I know there are better deals in NYC from listening to other people's recommendations, next time I will use them.Book Now!

A Little Old but Great Location

This Hotel has a great location but the rooms are very small and especially the bathrooms need renovation. The cleanliness of the rooms is not corresponding with the price you pay for the night. Service is average and for almost everything you have to pay extra. Security is good. Every guest has to show their room key before they are allowed to enter the elevators and a small safe is included in every room. All in all the Paramount Hotel is okay for anyone who prefers a good location but is not looking for luxury.Book Now!

Great Location but be Prepared

Enjoyed our stay there and found the staff very helpful. the room was small and the bathroom especially small but beds were comfortable and we appreciated a window that would open. There is currently renovation and the escalator that takes you to the front desk and elevators was not work the whole time we were there. Be prepared to climb those first stairs!Book Now!

Good Service

Knowing how difficult it is to find reasonably priced room in midtown Manhattan, I can recommend the Milford Plaza for the price. It's clean, friendly, and I felt secure staying there alone. Book Now!

Great Location. Nicer Than Expected.

For the price, I was expecting a lot worse, but the Milford plaza was much nicer than I thought it would be. The lobby was clean and attractive with nice sitting areas, the staff was friendly, and the rooms weren't as small as other NYC hotels that I've stayed. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is 2 blocks down the street from Port Authority and Times Square. Milford plaza's security was very tight, which makes this an ideal place for women traveling alone or anyone else who might be concerned about safety. Overall, this was a great deal. Book Now!

Needs Some Improvement

The location is great but the price is ridiculous with the quality of the hotel. The rooms are clean but old and I defenitively don't think that the price is fair with the facilities of the hotel.Book Now!

Perfect Location

User Review RatingUser Review RatingUser Review RatingUser Review Rating

This is the best priced hotel in the Theater District. You can't find a better location if you love the theater and want to be in the heart of Time Square. I'll have to agree with others who stated the bathrooms were a bit small, but I don't sleep in the bathroom nor do I spend much time in my hotel room while in New York City. Security was always present at the elevators and we always felt safe. We normally stay away from the hustle and bustle of Time Square, but we were traveling with friends who had never been here before. If theater is your thing, you can't go wrong with the Milford Plaza. It's clean, close to everything, inexpensive (compaired to other hotels in the same area), and safe. If you're looking for a quieter neighborhood, the Upper West Side might suit your needs. Book Now!

Would Recommend to a Friend

The hotel location is great - it is walking distance to broadway and times square. The subway station is also just a few blocks away. The room is definitely small, but I guess that is the price you pay for in Manhattan. We had our own bathroom, which was great. There is a security guard and guest services on 24 hours. The hotel is going through some renovations, but I would still recommend it to others. Book Now!
