The location was within walking distance of many of the central locations such as the Empire State Building. The surprise was how quiet the location was when compared to other locations in the City. Very little traffic and traffic noise.

The room didnt quite match up to the pictures on the website, but the people were SUPER friendly and even though I received a non smoking room, it was on a smoking floor.

If you are on business this is a great hotel. The hotel is quiet, the lobby is stunning. Unbelievably I stayed on the sixth floor and heard no noise at all--I was there for one week. The staff was courteous although some have limited english. The inhotel dining is very good and reasonably priced by New York standards. The rooms are small so I would not recommend for a couple.This will defintely become my business hotel.

I was traveling alone & on business. The hotel is small, impeccably run, wonderfully located (Park Ave South -- central but quiet). The room wasn't big, but it wasn't too small; & it was well designed & impeccably maintained. The decor was neutral, in a soothing way. The windows open (ah, fresh air). The bathroom wasn't minute. The soap smelled incredibly clean -- not fancily perfumed, just clean. The bed sheets were crisp. I slept wonderfully. The breakfast was simple, but perfect. The hotel seems to cater primarily to a Japanese clientele, it may be that it's very Japanese in atmosphere -- if so, I want to go to Japan! I've rarely been so happy with my hotel room.

The staff of this hotel is very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and the bathroom spacious. At first they put us in room with a view of an alley. We asked to change and were accommodated. There is a steep covercharge for the bar since they have music. We weren't interested in paying for music we didn't care to listen to (jazz) so we went somewhere else. It bothered us that we had to do this since we would have preferred to stay in the hotel and not have to go out. We also didn't eat in the hotel cafe since it was pretty pricey.
