The room was overheated especially the bathroom whose heater could not be turned off. 
Room Cleaning Could Be More Thorough
The hotel has a lovely lobby and is in an excellent location, and everyone was very nice. However, when I entered my small room, I found the following: a bright blue discarded bottle cap under the desk, a goldfish cracker on the carpet between the bed and the window, and crumbs inside the hotel guidebook. Finding these obvious items made me wonder what else might have been overlooked.

The room was very small but the hotel itself is very nice.

Boutique hotel and european feel in terms of charm and size!!! Classic Queen sized room was small and bathroom had a bit of peeling paint. Would return again and willing to pay for larger room as neighborhood and service excellent. Nice touch with the continental breakfast! Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a problem with television and phone - someone was up within minutes.

The Hotel Wales had a wonderful old world charm. My room was clean and had wonderful antique details. I am not sure I would visit during the summer due to the fact that there was no air conditioning in my room. They also said that they had wireless in the room, but unfortunately it never worked while I was there :( However, I loved the fact that it was close to the museums and the staff was friendly.
