Smack in the Middle of Everything
You can't get any closer to the middle of Manhattan. And for that price, you have to go for it. The only negative was how hot it felt the first night - the thermostat was set to "off", but it was still very warm. The window only opens a few inches.
Can Not Control the Heater
The heater controller seemed not to work. So it was hot at the night. Had to open the windows.
Good Room for the Money
The hotel is in a greta location for my needs and that is how I decided to try it. The lone elevator was quite slow at times so I would recommend the stairs if you're not on the 5th floor or lower. I was on 12. My room was clean, my bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and updated. My biggest complaint about the room was the heat and the broken thermostat. I set it at 65 but the coolest that room got was 78. Even with the window open it was too warm for me. In spite of the heat issue, I would stay at the Hotel Stanford again as it is quite close to work and a good bargain through Hotels.com.

This hotel is a very good value for the money. Location is excellent in Mid-town. We had a noisy radiator and the hotel fixed it pretty quickly. Basic, but acceptable, continental breakfast at adjacent restaurant. Good special rate on parking across the street (my bill of $54 was reduced to $26 b/c I was a hotel guest).

This hotel was a last minute option for me and boy was I glad I made that decision. As soon as I got to the front desk the employees were very friendly. They handed me my key card and I was on my way. There is an elevator and stairs and I think about 10 floors, I was on the third. As soon as I stepped into the room I felt at home. The sheets were white, there was a bedside mirror setup, a beautiful bathroom with towels, washcloths, bath & body works items like shampoo, soap, etc. The closet was also great and there was a safe in the clost in case u needed to put away personal items. When I went to checkout it was very quick and again I was on my way. I recommend this hotel to everyone. It is right around a lot of things like Manhattan Mall, Macy's and a few diners to eat out. Try it and I bet you will like it!!!
