When visiting New York City on a budget, comfort should be the last of your worries. This hotel located in great area when considering proximity to transport, shopping and food and reasonably priced given its prime location. The rooms are small and may not be heated, the baths are shared and may not be clean, front desk assistance may be absent or rude but with all the money you saved on lodging you can drink your sorrows away at a local happy hour.Book Now!

The hotel was pretty much what I expected for the price that we paid. However, the fact is that I came to New York City to see the city not the hotel, so that was just fine with me. The beds are a little uncomfortable but the rooms and bathrooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the neighborhood is very nice. The location is very convenient, there are subways very close and a few nice diners that are fairly priced. All in all the best word I could find to desribe the hotel is convenient. Its a great stay for somebody looking for a good New York visit while not spending a lot of money. Book Now!

Great Room for the Money

If you are just looking for a bed, this is the place. The price is certainly less than for many hotels but more expensive than a hostel which has less privacy. The mattress was quite hard. The bathroom was more than adequate. The room and bathroom were clean. There are 2 subway stops close and very close by.Book Now!

Go with No Expectations and be Surprised

The building was somewhat run-down and the shared bathrooms were a hassle, but the room itself was spacious, cheery, clean and comfortable. Radiator was on too hot much of the time and with the strange smells, there were strange noises (from other rooms, the radiator, and the wind since we had the window open a crack). Two blocks from the subway station which is four stops from Times Square. Pretty good restaurants nearby. Book Now!

This hotel was crappy and cheap and i know for a fact, some of the beds have bed bugs. the heat was not turned on until my second day there so needless to say the first night was very cold. on the 4th floor outside the one bathroom on that floor that i could find on my side, there was a huge hole in the woodwork of the floor so if you step on the carpet, your prolly falling through. The building had 1 clean looking bathroom. i say not clean because the tiling was old and nasty, though they seemed like they cleaned up the urine someone decided to keep spraying on the wall pretty fast. its a crappy place, but given what you pay, and the odds of you doing anything more than just sleeping in that room its not too bad. i have slept in much worse places and it has 3 parking garages very close by. one on the same street, and 2 on the next street, one of which is a 24 hours a day, cheap valet parking which is good. the neighborhood was safe looking though the security of the building itself left something to be desired. but overall, if you dont mind grunge and dirt, it could be worth it. dont let the bed bugs bite.....I mean it.Book Now!

Good Room for the Price

User Review RatingUser Review RatingUser Review RatingUser Review Rating

Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel. It is very affordable and is a good deal if all you're looking for is a room to stay in at night. It's good for single travellers on a budget, and you get what you pay for. The staff are friendly and it's located just a couple of blocks from Broadway Street and the subway station. I did see a couple of roaches (once in my room and once in the bathroom) and the comforter had a stain, but, again, you get what you pay for. If you're ok with literally just a bed, a tv, a desk (w/no chair), and a sink in your room, then this is the place for you. The bathrooms are shared - there are a few on each floor, and I never ran into anyone else when I went to use the bathroom. People can be inconsiderate when they use a bathroom, even if its shared, so the bathroom wasn't always in the best shape, but that's to be expected. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. There weren't any loud parties at night (like you might expect at a hostel) and the place was pretty quiet during the day as well. I definitely recommend it. Book Now!

Never Ever Again

This was the worst hotel I have ever spend in. This hotel was just dirty and smelly. And the worth part was the dirty shared bathroom. The tub looked like as when somebody was killed there. I would never ever again stay in this hotel.Book Now!

Overheated Room and Bathroom in Hall

User Review Rating User Review RatingUser Review Rating

Our room was much too warm, and there was no way for us to adjust the heat since the heat was coming from a hot pipe running through the room and not the radiator. Also, our room was just around a corner from the lobby, and there was no door separating the hotel rooms from the lobby. There was no attendant in the lobby (check-in was in a room on one side of the lobby), so we felt that the security was not great. The hall bathroom was quite small for a bathroom servicing several rooms. Also, we really didn't like not having a bathroom in our room (although we knew about this beforehand). Book Now!
