I showed up on New Years Eve with two extra guests. The staff was so accommodating and helped us to our room and understood our situation. The rooms are small, but for a bunch of twenty-year-olds, it was a perfect time for us.

This was a great hotel for us, we walked from Penn station to the hotel and were able to walk to everything we wanted to see like Broadway, Empire State, Time Square, central park and more. We would stay here again. You have to be OK with European style rooms though as most of the rooms share the bathrooms.

Only problem was that I couldn't turn of the heater, which was blasting at full force. I ended up having to open the window, but even then I didn't sleep well the entire night because it was too hot.

I was just in NYC for four nights and had a wonderful stay at Hotel 31. The shared bathroom was spotless (and the couple of times I had to wait to use it, the wait was no longer than five minutes), my room was clean, the hotel was incredibly quiet, and the location was perfect. I couldn't have been happier with my experience at Hotel 31.
