I stayed at the Holiday Inn New York City-Midtown-57th Street from March 30-31. Overall my experience was very pleasant the location was easy to get to and leave from by car. Very convenient to where my meetings were being held -- quick walk and subway hop. Ben, the barkeeper, on duty was nice and VERY knowledgeable. There was however that one bartender women at the bar who was on facebook constantly I didn't mind it but another customer brought that up. As long as other customers are not seeing it it's fine. The two smalls problem I had during my stay was that there was no wireless access since the accesspoint was "broken" -- there should have been a quicker turnaround. Mike, The overnight GSR allowed me to quickly check critical e-mail from a front desk machine which was very helpful. And I received a wake up call at 5:00 am which I did NOT ask for. Besides that the front of house staff was great their managers should commend them for their work.

This would be a great deal if there weren't constant problems: no internet for 4 days and the room was really hot from malfunctioning central heating. We had to cause a huge scene to get the non-smoking room we had booked. On the plus side- good location, clean and nice sized room.
