We are a young couple that was looking for a cheap but comfortable place to stay in NYC for the weekend. This place was it. It wasn't very close to the subway (~4 blocks away) but it suited our needs. Didn't expect a continental breakfast, so that saved us some money on food. The room was mostly the bed, which was all that mattered to us anyways. The mounted flat screen TV was nice, channel selection was good. Overall, I definitely recommend if you're in need of a place to stay. ![]()

I chose this hotel because of the close proximity to the University where my daughter will be attending. I was very impressed with the excellent service and the staff was ready to assist with anything I needed at any time. This hotel was conveniently located to the university, the Seaport which has great shops and restaurants and very close to the subway station. The area is real safe due to the fact city hall is just about 1 block away and there are officers everywhere. I was walking out along around 10p going to the pharmacy and felt pretty safe. Very close to Wall Street financial district. This is my hotel of choice when I visit my daughter.

The staff at this hotel are wonderful! They were friendly and always went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The hotel is relatively new (2006) and is well maintained and my room was always clean. The only complaint I have about the hotel is that the room I had was VERY small. My room was on the 8th floor (9 floors total) and had a large balcony. But in late February, it was too cold to enjoy. I was told that the rooms on the lower floors are larger (no balcony). I was in NYC on business, I stayed for 6 nights and I will definitely stay there when I return in late March. ![]()

This is a great hotel if you don't mind being on the tip of the island. It is supremely comfortable. Amazing beds and linens. Nice breakfast. We chose it because we had theater tickets in Brooklyn and it was an easy taxi ride across the river. It is in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge which is thrilling to walk over. It's also walking distance of Chinatown and little Italy. The trip to the subway is pretty long so it's not terribly convenient. The Seaport is a very interesting area and has great restaurants.![]()
