The Fitzpatrick Grand is truly a gem. I took my 3 daughters to New York for my middle daughter's 16th birthday. I decided to suprise her since our heritage is Irish by staying at the Fitzpatrick Grand and the decor didn't disappoint. Location is great, Grand Central Station was fun for the girls and the surrounding neighborhood had plenty to look at and discover. The rooms had a canopy bed, plenty of room to move around, and a beautiful bathroom. Clean rooms, prompt and delightful staff, and a wonderful pub with great food, service and upbeat atmosphere, wait staff were very pleasant. We had room service on our first night as our play ran long we didn't even order until after 10:30pm,but they didn't blink an eye, took our food order and delivered promptly. The food was great and really hit the spot. We ordered room service again for breakfast and it was perfect, coffee was very good. Check in and out was a breeze, the front desk staff were more than willing to help with anything we needed. On our way down to check out the elevator was taking quite a while and the second one was down for maintenance, but a staff member saw us standing in the hall and started the second elevator and rode down to the lobby with us. Exceptional service! Concierge was knowledgable and didn't hesitate to help with a smile no less. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay there on our next trip to New York.

We were on our honeymoon. Airline lost luggage,connecting flight was an hour late and traffic to city was terrible. When we arrived we were promptly greeted, checked in and shown to our room which was more than we expected. Staff were very professional and courteous.Upon returning to our room after seeing "Lion KIng" we were surprised by a complimentary bottle of champagne making a nightmare of a beginning, a perfect ending. Thank you, Fitzpatrick.

I was in NYC for one night business trip, andf this hotel was a very friendly comfortable place to stay. I would look to stay there again.

Room not made up until 5:00 PM. Housekeeper said that one of staff was sick. Desk clerk removed a food charge to compensate

My fiance and I were in New York for our 1st time visiting friends and for the last two nights of our trip we wanted to stay at a hotel, we found the Fritzpatrick and thought it was reasonably priced (being that hotels and other things cost more in NY) it was very cozy, clean, and had a nice classic look to it. All the staff was friendly and our room was Amazing! We got a free upgrade due to our current reservation not being ready yet, we lucked out and very much enjoyed the very comfortable king bed and extra space and TV's in the room, we loved it! House keeping did an excellent job. We would definitely stay there again.

Not a standard big box hotel. Has a much more European ambiance. Only thing missing was a gym.
