Great location, clean hotel

A Pleasant Experience

Okay for the money

Elevator is pre-historic and some "remodeling" going on that litters the hallways. Otherwise it's great. Good location. Close to the mtetro. Discounted parking at Hertz 1 block away- ask hotel desk for stamp. Some street parking too- you just have to look a little. Comfortable bed.

Needs improvement

Terrible hotel for the money spent. It was way over priced with a window air conditioning unit.

Helpful beyond the call of duty

After an awful stay of only one night in Royal Park (AKA the dump!) 258 West 97th Street NYC, we called in to Days Hotel to Book a room. The man on reception was more than helpful. He let us call central reservations and told us that he would upgrade our room at no extra cost. He gave us a choice of 2 rooms or a suite. Obviously we went for the suite! Thanks Rudy! What could have been an awful experience became something special.

Outstanding location, good value

Rooms slightly small but ample for short stay. Great location. Easy access to subway. Nice walk to Central Park. Bathroom clean. Carpeting & furniture shows signs of wear..but expected for this price range. Staff very professional. Will recommmend to others.

Lovely Budget Hotel

We came to this hotel at 9am on Tuesday morning and Reception tried to accommodate us immediately, despite check-in being 3pm. As they had no availability, they took our bags in to safe storage and couldn't have been more helpful.We stayed here for two nights midweek and had a lovely large room, two double beds and a nice clean bathroom. It was great value at a great location (literally around the corner from Line 1 subway) - I would highly recommend it if you're in NYC for a few days on a sightseeing / shopping trip.

Okay considering its NYC

Staff seemed very helpful. Hotel felt a little seedy - and that it was in need of updating and repair and serious cleaning. I didn't feel my room was dirty - but it could have felt "fresher" carpeting, furniture, hallways. It seems like it's ready for remodeling. Neighborhood - well..it's NYC. It was convenient to subway - so convenient to everything. Price - fine considering prices in NYC.
