The housekeeping staff was wonderful...everything very clean. That's the good news.The only good news. My poor husband is looking for a good massuse to perform a miracle on his now destroyed back.......the beds at the Crown Plaza were so bad that even our two teenaged boys that can sllep through a bomb were aching! So you can guess how two forty-something-parents are feeling!! The sore backs we had were not relieved with hot showers because we had no hot water, showers were luke warm at best. When we asked management for a monetary adjustment for the poor rooms (we changed to another room and the beds were the same) the manager said that since we pre-paid with Hotels.com there was no money to refund.

Everything was wonderful! I just wish there was a later shuttle to the subway and we would've stayed there the whole time we were in NYC. The room was very big as was the bathroom. The travel shampoo, conditioner, lotion, face & bath bars smelled amazing. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing that was a little disappointing was we stayed christmas day and they had no lifeguard on duty so the pool and hot tub were closed. That was the whole reason we chose to stay there in the first place...so we woke up extra early to use the facilities. Other than that...I highly recommend it!!

This hotel was very nice and was in a convenient location if you have a car, which we did. If you fly in from LaGuadia it is very convenient and has a shuttle. Rooms were quiet, even though planes were taking off from the airport. You could hardly hear them.

The shuttle pick up took about 20 minutes or so, which was annoying but not too bad since the weather was nice. The room itself was spacious, but given that the room had no windows the hotel should have made sure that lamps were aplenty, which was not the case. Also the bed was a murphy bed (the kind that folds up into a wall unit), which was not nearly as comfortable as a regular mattress w/box spring. Was not expecting that from a 3.5 star hotel.

Rates very high vs. quality of property and poor treatment from front desk staff. Stranded at LGA due to rain and so needed a room- very expensive, even though I'm a Priority Club Gold Member. The fire alarm started at 11:30 PM and the PA announcements kept coming through to the rooms that it was a system problem and not to worry. Very noisy the whole time and finally resolved around 1 AM. At one point it was easy to hear (over the PA system through the entire hotel!) a guest screaming at the front desk staff about the alarm, loud f-bombs and all. In the morning at check-out I asked for any consideration due to the situation and the staff was rude and said the alarm was for guest safety. Guest safety... a 1.5 hr. false alarm in the middle of the night? I wasn't feeling safe, I was feeling ripped-off! Amazing. No apology from the staff.

Able to walk from USAirways baggage claim to the hotel. Which was a good thing since the shuttle bus took 1/2 hour to pick me up.
