New York City

This airport hotel is a short shuttle ride to JFK. The woman at the desk was very friendly and helpful during check-in. She clearly explained amenities, asked about rental car arrangements and told me how to return my car after getting our luggage upstairs and how to get back. Since the latter involved a phone call, she verified I had a working cell phone with me to make that call. The ride arrived within just a few minutes and the driver was also friendly. The shuttle service the next morning was right on time. The server at breakfast was also very nice and made sure i understood everything and got what i wanted. The room was fine although it was simply used for sleeping because of schedules. The people at this hotel made the stay a pleasant one rather than just a mindless logistical exercise as these airport stays often are.

The complimentary shuttle and convenience was the factor in choosing this hotel. Service and room were just fine - a little pricey for a 7 hour stay, but I guess that is NY pricing.

hotel is located in the air-tran area. Its the train system that takes you into the JFK airport. Which means every time you want to go into the city you need to pay $5.00 each way for each person. you are only 1 stop away from the transit system. So we ended up paying an additional $60 for a 2 night stay. Plus the regular train/subway costs to get into the city. It would have been nice to know this when I booked the room. the money we spent on transit to & from the hotel, would have been the same cost if we would have stayed right in Manhattan.

The hotel was GREAT. I was impressed with the comfort of the beds, the quality of the linens, and the friendly and accommodating staff.

If you want convenience to JFK, then this hotel is perfect. If you want convenience to NYC, then you proably should search elsewhere. We took taxi to NYC each day and probably spent as much as if we were staying in the City. You also need to allow at least an hour each way depending on traffic. Hotel was fine although the breakfast buffet was very pricey. There was no other places near to go eat so you were forced to have your meal there or take a taxi somewhere. The security was great in that you needed your room key to even allow the elevator to move to another floor. I liked that security feature. Everyone was very friendly and nice. JL

WE got in early, I went to the hotel at 11:30,they let me check in [how great].Had a room dropped off luggage and went to the Yankees-Rays game. Rays won. The beds were great, no back achs.Will stay again I sure.
