The room was spacious (for NYC) and the staff were very accomodating. The area is convenient to shopping, dining and theatre and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

A little pricey but very comfortable large room. The employees were fantastic. 5 star restaurant next door (which supplies room service). Only downside was that their "Business center" was non-existant. Great value for pleasure trip. Ok for business.

We loved this place. We had a room with a balcony that was fantastic. They said that the rooms with the balconies were smaller, but we chose this over a larger room to have the fresh air (if NYC air can be called that!) and a nice place to sit outside- table and chairs. We walked to the hotel from grand Central and walked again to our dinner location and play. This hotel is very centrally located but amazingly quiet and away from the fray. The room was small, but we didn't feel cramped at all. Would definitey recommend it and plan to stay again.

The City Club Hotel was wonderful. The room was clean and fresh. The mattress was okay but everything else was perfect. I don't spend much time in the room anyway but I do very much appreciate a clean room and this one seemed to me to be superior to experiences at other good hotels. The staff is terrific, the best. I really enjoyed my stay there and fully intend to make it my regular home away from home while in The City.

I needed a one-night stay and didn't want to break the bank. I chose the City Club based on price and location to my meeting. I was surprised by the quality of the upgrades. It's obvious that it was an older hotel that was renovated. The upgrades were top notch and very thoughtful. The mini-bar tucked neatly in the full-size closet. The television behind a mirrored wall made an armoire unnecessary and gave more space. The bathroom was large and included a modern-looking brown marble with stainless fixtures and a bidet. The only needs improvement was the drafty old window but the temp was controllable from the room and the iPod docking station and linens made sleeping peaceful. I would definitely stay again. The gentlemen at the front desk were so professional and helped with faxes, printing and restaurant recommendations.
