Good for the Money

The staff was very helpful. The rooms were extreamly small but perfect if all you plan to use it for is sleeping. It's just one block from the subway, right off the main dragg, realy easy to get to the highway, and there is a parking garage around every corner. The hotel was still under construction and the elivator was broken one of the three days.

Nice, but Noisy

It was a very clean, but very small room. It's not a big deal if you're there a couple nights. Very easy access to the subway station (86th and Broadway). It's in a pretty classy area so when we were out and about at 11:30 at night, we didn't feel unsafe. My HUGE concern was the noise. Neither of us slept because people were talking and walking around the halls all night. It wasn't the hotel's fault that people were up and about, but they didnt do anything about it even when it was obviously loud enough where we were sure they could hear it from downstairs. I would not recommend it just because of that. The walls are too thin...unless you plan to stay up all night and just use the room home base for a couple nights.

you get what you paid for. clean, convenient, well-maintained, but no closets. a very very small room, just enough to put a queen size bed in.

Amazing Bargain

Considering the extremely low price, I was really nervous about what awaited us in Manhattan. The Belnord was a pleasant surprise. The room is minuscule, but extremely clean and well appointed. The decor is upscale and the space is well utilized. You have a comfortable bed, a flat screen tv hung on the wall, and a nice bathroom. Nothing more, nothing less. There's no closet or good space to put your bags, but so what? There's free wi-fi, luggage storage, and a friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again, I just hope the price doesn't skyrocket.

Great Room for the Money

This hotel was very convenient to the subway, and was one block off a street lined with shops. as others have mentioned, the room is tiny, but it's all you need for sleeping! even residents of manhattan were amazed i was able to get a decent hotel room for so cheap. i would definitely recommend for a long weekend stay!

No Hot Water

Last week, we stayed at this hotel. The weather was very cold and was hoping to take a warm shower after the long trip. The room didn't have hot water.

Objects are Smaller then they Appear

When I stayed at the belnord it wasnt bad but at the sametime it wasnt good either. When looked them up online their rooms looked very spacious and elegant. However, when I arrived it was very cramped and small. It is the equivilent of a prison cell but with nice bet sheets and working toliet. I didn't mind it for the most part because we spent most of our time checking New York that the hotel was the last thing on our minds. However when it was time to turn in we dreaded going back. the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The WiFi internet did not work for 90% of our trip, the front desk kept giving us wrong access codes. Also the in room phone didnt work and it would always send a busy signal to the front desk, so you would have to call out from a cellphone to reach them. Overall Belnord is good if you want to save money but dont expect much. Sometimes its good to spend a lil extra to get some comfort.

The best thing about this hotel is its location and price. Its very close to timessquare by subway. The subway station is just across the road and very safe for travel even late at night. The rooms are small but are a great bargain for the price. They have utilized the small space very well and the maintenance is good. The staff was neither overly friendly nor rude, I had no problems with them. I had driven into NYC in my car and there are several parking locations just within a block which can be booked online. Driving into that area is pretty easy during non-rush hours. I would recommend this hotel for budget minded individuals who just need a place to sleep in NYC and want to enjoy the sightseeing without worrying about staying out late in downtown.
