In his latest production, the choreography of Stephen Petronio is linked with music. It is a concert for downtown musicians and popular for Petronio’s footwork. The show offers BLOOM’s encore performance. Rufus Wainwright sings Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson’s poetry. Stephen Petronio is a well renowned dance maker of his generation. Acclaimed by critics and audience alike, the company has performed throughout the world. Petronio’s dances produce modern landscapes and a treat for the eyes, by combining visual art, fashion and new music. Petronio has included the most provocative and talented artistes like Rufus Wainwright, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, Fischerspooner, James Lavelle, Sheila Chandra and Michael Nyman. During the past Stephen Petronio created works for Washington Ballet, Norrdans (Sweden) and Scottish Ballet. The company is planning to celebrate the company’s 25th Anniversary session in style, with expansion of company and creation of full evening length work.
