Kurtag skillfully spins a kaleidoscope of musical style of various desparate and extreme moments of life, using 40 excerpts from Kafka’s diaries and letters. The dramatic, introspective, humorous and penetrating one hour journey for violin and voice is a special evening to be savored. Both Pogossian and Arnold have worked efficiently with composer to delight the audience in conveying the intensity and spirit of the great master to the worldwide audiences.
