The Opera “Rigoletto “was first composed on 1850-51, and for quite some time, dominates the opera scene. The opera is performed by Composer Giuseppe Verdi. The Act-I is set in 1500’s at Mantua. The Duke, at his palaces boasts of his conquests escorting his latest prize Countess Ceprano. Marullo suspects Rigoletto of having a mistress. An elderly nobleman, Monterone denounces the Duke who seduces his daughter. Monterone, being placed under arrest and ridiculed by Rigoletto, pronounces a curse on Duke and his jester.  On his way home Rigoletto thinks about Monterone’s curse. He rejects the services of a professional assassin, Sparafucile. He keeps Gilda, his daughter, hidden from world. He wants Giovanna, the governess to protect his daughter. The Italian opera Rigoletto is the famous work by Giuseppe Verdi.
