Miami City Ballet kicks off its season at the New York Center Studios. The Miami City Ballet differs from its traditional version created in 1951. Prince Siegried (played by Yang Zou) loves swan queen Odette (played by Haiyan Wu). The ballet is a dance rendering of ecstasy, loss and romantic longing. The internationally acclaimed Ballet is under artistic direction of Edward Villella, the former New York’s Ballet superstar. The ballet makes its Manhattan debut with two programs. The first program features Tharp and Balanchine classics. The second program features Balanchine masterworks. The dancers of Miami City Ballet are skilled, confident, engaging and multihued. World class dancing at the ballet show attracts a large number of audiences.
