The event is a celebration of the great musical giants Olivier Messiaen and Elliott Carter, who were born a century ago, and is staged by Da Capo Chamber Players. Even after hundred years, the music played by them continues to mesmerize the people, and inspire the dynamic, metaphysical and poetic power. Olivier Messiaen was a famous French organist, ornithologist and composer. At 11 years of age, he successfully entered Paris Conservatoire and numbered Maurice Emmanuel, Paul Dukas, Marcel Dupre and Charles Marie Widor among his teachers. Elliott Carter is a New York born composer who studied in Paris and returned to United States. His popular compositions which include chamber, orchestral, solo instrumental and classic music are performed all over the world even today.
