The Hollywood lyricist-composer Frank Loesser conquered the Broadway with his hits of 1950s, like Where’s Charley? and The Most Happy Fella. Guys and Dolls has been his all time masterpiece. His popular hit songs include ‘Baby, its cold outside, Luck be a lady, and You’re rocking the boat. As a successful lyricist, he collaborated with other composers of his time. During the World War II, he worked on Hi Yank, a musical performed for and by US soldiers. Loesser had won many awards including the 1961 Grammy Award. Frank Loesser is considered as the most versatile composer of Broadway. His Broadway musicals contributed to the American Musical Theater. He was known to America by his enormous popular Hollywood hits.
