Expressions Dance Company, founded in 1984 by Maggi Sietsma, is globally acclaimed for its highly theatrical and athletic brand of dance. Score, is a dance theater event performed by the Australian company, inspired by shades of dramatic base of Petrushka, a Michel Fokine’s 1911 ballet, about traveling fair puppet, now updated to reality TV show. Score, a story of two contestants competing for the prize, is packed with physicality, and incorporates video projections, and footage. The puppet-master is replaced by MC and pawns by two male contestants. The dancers work with high definition broadcasts, large screen, and murmurs of ballet pedigree. Maggi Sietsma, the Choreographer cum Artistic Director creates an evening of funny and lively theater. The old tale has been contemporarily exploited with great success.
