St. Patricks’s Cathedral located on the east side of 5th Avenue between the 50th and 51st Streets in New York is where the Arch Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of New York can be found. St. Patricks’s Cathedral was built between 1858 and 1878 on a piece of land that was bought back in 1810 for $11,000.   St. Patricks’s Cathedral was renovated between 1927 and 1931 and a great organ was installed. The cathedral built of white marble quarried in New York and Massachusetts is large enough to hold two thousand two hundred people.
                                 
St. Patricks’s Cathedral got the original pipe organ replaced with a new organ which totally has 39,200 pipes. Many a famous people in New York have been buried here along with eight past cardinals. St. Patricks’s Cathedral was built in a neo-gothic style to replace of the old St. Patricks’s Cathedral which was destroyed by a fire in 1866. St. Patricks’s Cathedral is one building that inspires spirituality as well as a fire for admiring its amazing architectural elegance which has the combined works of many artists from all around the world. In New York St. Patricks’s Cathedral is one place that shouldn’t be missed out while sight seeing.
