The park dedicates almost 3000 acres of land for recreational activities and caters to the needs of its community. Once here, you can see everything that you wanted to – forest, wetlands, ponds, lakes, streams and even more! There are many destinations here that could give you a good time out. The High Rock Environmental Center invites you to hike, camp, visit workshops and gift shops as well as learns some discoveries about our nature. Play golf and winter sports at the La Tourtte Park. You can even fish, play ball, picnic as well as play tennis at the Willowbrook Park. Explore and relax with nature at its best!

Founded in 1989, the Greenbelt Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization that works along with New York City’s Department for Parks & Recreation to help smooth operation, administration and public use of the parkland. It helps to create public awareness with regard to conserving the Greenbelt. Also, the organization manages the profits from the park to make sure that it remains clean and green. It also ensures that there is proper use of the facilities and endowments made available at Greenbelt. They hold various public even programs to this end.
